We are extremely fortunate to be associated with Traeger Pellet Grills, LLC, (formerly Traeger Industries, Inc.), the originator of the wood pellet grill. Each of Traeger's distinctive grills allows you to barbecue, grill, smoke, and bake using 100% hardwood barbecue pellets.

An Oregon corporation based in Mt. Angel, Traeger is a third-generaltion, family owned and operated business administered by principals Joe Traeger, Mark Traeger, Randy Traeger and Brian Traeger. Traeger takes pride in holding numerous patents on its many innovative products.

Traeger's production facility is within a converted dairy barn in Mt. Angel, Oregon.

Legend has it that Joe Traeger, who years earlier had invented the pellet heating stove, devised the wood pellet barbecue after a family barbecue went afoul. As the story goes, Joe was preparing a gas grill full of chicken and went inside briefly to fetch something. Upon his return, he was horrified to see that a flare-up had ignited and the chickens quickly were becoming cinders. In a fit of pique, Joe--who, ironically, served as the Mt. Angel Fire Chief at the time--kicked the flaming grill, chicken and all, down the hillside where it lays in a rusted heap to this day.

The very next morning, Joe got to work on applying the same technology of the pellet stove to the creation of the pellet barbecue grill--the world's best outdoor cooking system.
